SUPPORTING THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER MOST

Family programming enables families and supportive others to begin or continue in the healing process through validation, education, and support.

Family Treatment Services

The goals of family therapy are to ensure that families understand the nature and consequences of addiction; develop new, healthy ways to manage anxiety; learn how to grow together in unity; and pursue personal healing and recovery. All family members are encouraged to develop a peer support network while participating in the following services:

  • Individual Family Therapy
  • Multi-family Groups
  • Intensive Family Workshops
  • Family Education Groups
  • Al-Anon Meetings

Why participation is important

Research shows that family support plays a major role in the success of people recovering from addiction and mental health issues. We help families learn how to best support their loved one in recovery by recognizing signs of relapse, setting healthy boundaries and expectations, and communicating honestly and effectively.

Loved ones sometimes internalize participation of their family as being accepted and loved. They may interpret it as a sign: “There is hope for me.” Sometimes they don’t realize the toll their behaviors have taken on the family. We provide the opportunity for open communication among family members with the guidance of professionals so that everyone can begin to heal.
